<p><em>For us, Frieze is still crisp in mind,  mostly due to the great events hosted concurrent to the fair. Sunday evening we welcomed  experimental sound musician John Wiese. <p><em>Some flyers spend their trip kicked back,  watching the latest flick or two, others catch up on their book backlog. These artists used their free in-flight moments to create something special. Headed to New York from Zurich to install their forthcoming exhibition <a title="Painting and Jugs" href="http://swissinstitute.net/events/upcoming.php?Event=192#jump" target="_blank"><strong>Painting and Jugs</strong> (opening this Wednesday, May 2)</a>, B<strong>astien Aubry, Dimitri Broquard, Linus Bill, and Adrien Horni</strong>  capitalized on their free moments to create SWISS inspired artworks— Bill captured a shot of Horni mid-collage, while <em>Aubry and Broquard tried their hand at a post-meal digestif drafting session</em>. In-flight entertainment below. </em></p>

<p>MPA is a feminist and exhibitionist following a living art practice. Her solo and collaborative works focus on performance often in combination with photography, film, text and sculpture.</p>
<p>MV Carbon is a painter and musician living in Brooklyn, who frequently incorporates visuals from her paintings and films into live performance.</p>

<p><em>To close the exhibition Heart to Hand, MPA and MV Carbon treated viewers to an energy filled sound and movement performance. They called upon and deconstructed the strategies of happenings and fluxes, leaving the gallery and taking the audience with them to the streets. </em></p>

<p><em>How is consumer response and artistic action tied to corporate branding? Professor Sonia Katyal visited Swiss Institute and explained how the overarching reach of government influences the relationship between art, commercial speech, and trademark law within the First Amendment. Katyal is the Joseph M. McLaughlin Professor of Law at Fordham Law School, where she teaches in the areas of intellectual property, property and civil rights.</em></p>
