I walk towards a cave in a tropical forest and I can recognize a smaller and a larger entrance. Upon entering I see the Milky Way spanning across the ceiling. Milk is dripping on me and the floor. I assume this cave is man-made as it appears so precisely cut in stone. The Milky Way illuminates the rather dark cave. I can see a large mouth moving on feet, it opens and closes, teeth are scatterd around it. I am actually frightened by it as I believe it may eat me.

Towards the rear I can recognize a Grand Figure with wings. It seems to overlook the cave and I assume it lives here. Briefly I hide in a small cellar that is strangely located within the cave. Then I examine the cave in detail and I hear some lovely sounds. This makes me feel warm and warmer, actually I begin to feel really hot. My skin is peeling off like paper. I can now see my gibbous fish-like and leathery skin beneath it. My new skin is all full of colours. Desperately, I am in need for water to cool me down. There I jump into the fresh and clear Milky Way. The echo remains in the hall.
Last night we inaugurated Reto Pulfer’s ethereal installation Zustandseffekte with a concert by Eisklares Echo (Mia von Matt / Reto Pulfer). Our friend Christos Katsiaouni stopped by to take some snaps.

Artis and Columbia University School of the Arts treated us with a sneak peek of The Workshop, Gilad Ratman’s 2013 Venice Biennale project. Jon Kessler joined Ratman, his former student, for a discussion about the project. Listen up below…
TimeOut’s Paul Laster says, “The show’s high point is upstairs, where a Unabomber-style shack doubles as Foxconn, Apple’s suicide-plagued manufacturer in China. Inside, another mechanical tableau features a rock band of skeletons, who repeatedly play Apple’s trademark start-up chord: a signal for both an orgiastic beginning and an ultimately unhappy end.”
Have you walked through the web? Here Jon Kessler offers a tour through the installation- offering information about its impetus as well explaining various parts of the work, from the Foxcom structure to the knitting machine to the Global Village Idiot
Monday evening we opened Jon Kessler’s The Web and welcomed viewers into a virtual daydream on the verge. Here users feed their images directly into the installation, inserting both themselves and their creations into the site-specific techno-sphere.
