                | In
conjunction with our regular exhibition series, SI displays
work in the library space. The inaugural exhibition is a photographic
series in book form, titled Schulträume (Dreams of School Days),
by new Swiss artist Spiros Margaris. This nostalgic work provides
an adult perspective on childhood in Switzerland that will speak
to anyone about the experience of growing older. Margaris' photographs
are black and white images presented in pairs that show various
locations from his schools. The places in the photographs are
presented as both vacant and as being used by himself as a grown
man revisiting them. The photographs are the combination of
a crisp and logical reality with the beauty of a dream, all
                  with its incongruity. Ich weiss es ! ( I know it!) | | |
