NEW HUMANS
COLLECTIVE
The S I is pleased to announce
the collaboration of the
New Humans Collective
at our booth at the 2004 Armory Show!

New Humans' Pep Rally will rouse the halls of the Armory. So come visit with the S I and the New Humans at the Armory to find out when their next happening will occur!

New Humans performances are characterized by graphic visual elements that nod to minimalist sculpture and Op-Art, intersected with experimental music as a complete synesthetic experience. Each installation is an investigation of the exhibition space; the orientation of the performer and viewer; and the relationship between space, time, sound, and color. Their physical installations spatialize and reference the patterned and fractured sound compositions. The minimalist impulse coupled with deconstructive tendencies create raw and improbable compositions of disparate tones, noise and color. Repetitive patterning, collapse of boundary and object, and the unraveling of seriality over time are continuing visual and aural motifs.

In addition to the S I Armory booth project, on Friday, March 12, New Humans will perform a new site-specific project at the S I featuring a design collaboration by Mika Tajima and United Bamboo:

Late Night with the S I / Friday March 12 / 7 - 11 pm / feat. New Humans and Red Shoe Delivery Service
