PHILOSOPHY OF THE HOME | PIN–UP PRESENTS A READING WITH EMANUELE COCCIA

PIN–UP magazine invites Italian philosopher Emanuele Coccia to read from his book Philosophy of the Home: Domestic Space and Happiness, on the occasion of its recent release in the English language. Following the reading, Coccia will be in conversation with Jing Liu, co-founder of the architecture firm SO–IL.
PIN–UP 36, Spring Summer 2024, will be out May 13, 2024, featuring Emanuele Coccia interviewed by Victoria Camblin.

Emanuele Coccia is an Italian author, philosopher, and lecturer at EHESS, the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris. Coccia has been a visiting professor at the universities of Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Düsseldorf, Columbia, and Harvard. His widely translated writing includes The Life of Plants: A Metaphysics of Mixture, Metamorphoses, Goods: Advertising, Urban Space, and the Moral Law of the Image, and Sensible Life: A Micro-ontology of the Image. He is currently working alongside Alessandro Michele, Creative Director of Valentino, on a publication that explores the relationships between fashion and philosophy.
Jing Liu is an architect, educator, and co-founder of the award-winning design firm Solid Objectives – Idenburg Liu (SO–IL) in New York City.
