Deborah-Joyce Holman (b. 1991 in Basel, Switzerland. Lives and works in London and Basel) is a multidisciplinary artist interested in strategies of refusal, which include opacity, illegibility, and absence as Black and queer counter-hegemonic stances. During their SI residency, Deborah-Joyce was nominated as a finalist for the 2023 Swiss Art Award and featured in CFGNY’s Residency at Sculpture Center, New York.
